    Kai Siegbahn wins the Nobel Prize in Physics for developing the method of Electron Spectroscopy for Chemical Analysis.

    Vacuum Generators and Scienta merge to create VG Scienta.

    SAUNA

    Sauna Systems Established

    The second SAUNA II installed. Development of the SAUNA II Mobile system and the SAUNA II Labsystem.

    VG SCIENTA + SAUNA

    Formation of Scienta Scientific Group

    Sauna and VG Scienta merge to form the Scienta Scientific group. Scienta Scientific is an established world leader in our areas of operaion, serving customers across the globe.

    OMICRON

    Acquired by Oxford Instruments

    Omicron is bought by Oxford Instruments to further build upon their own technology based market.

    SCIENTA SCIENTIFIC

    HASTINGS SITE RENAMED VACGEN

    In December 2015 VG Scienta Hastings site is renamed to VACGEN.

    Scienta Scientific merges with Omicron

    Scienta Scientific and Omicron merge together to form Scienta Omicron.

    SAUNA SYSTEMS

    SAUNA Systems changes its name to Scienta Sensor Systems

    SAUNA changes its name to better reflect the nature of its business.

    Nobel Prize

    Nobel Prize for Physics 2016, awarded to David Thouless,F.Duncan Haldane and J. Michael Kosterlitz for Theoretical discoveries of topological phase transitions and phases of matter, verfied on Scienta Omicron R4000 ARPES analysis system.
